Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: 2026-08-20
What this page covers. CFO Tech Stack's competitor comparison pages
(the /compare/{vendor}-alternatives family at
/compare) link out to
competing products such as Jirav, Mosaic, Pilot, Kruze, Datarails, Cube,
Chatfin, and Knolli. Some of those links are affiliate links — meaning that
if you click through and complete a purchase or sign-up, we may receive a
small commission from the vendor. We never charge you anything extra for
using these links; the price you see on the vendor's site is the price
you pay.
Why we link out at all
Comparison pages exist to help you pick the right tool for your stage. When we show a side-by-side against a competitor, the most useful follow-up is a direct link to that competitor's site so you can read their current pricing, watch a demo, and check whether their roadmap actually fits your needs. Affiliate commissions let us keep those pages accurate and up-to-date — without them, we'd either strip every link (worse for you) or hide the relationship and pretend outbound clicks are unbiased (misleading, and a violation of FTC endorsement guidelines).
Our editorial policy
Commissions do not change our rankings or recommendations. Comparison tables are written from publicly available product documentation, founder interviews, and our own usage of the tools. When a vendor pays a commission to us, it is for the click — not for editorial coverage. Where we disagree with a vendor's pricing or positioning, we say so plainly, regardless of whether we earn a commission.
How we mark paid links
Every paid outbound link carries the HTML attributes
rel="sponsored nofollow", which is the format Google
recommends so that search engines can treat the link as advertising
rather than an organic editorial citation. On the rendered page you'll
also see a transparent-disclosure banner above the comparison table
and a "Visit {Vendor} →" call-to-action inside each product card.
Any link in the disclosure banner leads here, so this page is the
canonical, plain-language statement of the policy.
Cookie-based attribution
When you click an outbound link, we set a first-party cf_aff_id
cookie that lasts 30 days. The cookie lets us attribute any later
conversion on this site — for example, an email signup, a tool result,
or a pricing-page view — to the vendor you came from. We do not read
or set any third-party tracking cookies on /compare/* pages; only
cf_aff_id is set, and only on a click. You can clear it
from your browser at any time without affecting access to the site.
Questions or corrections
If you spot an outbound link we should mark, a vendor missing from this list, or a comparison that should mention a competitor we currently don't cover, please email editor@cfotechstack.ai. We update these pages as the market shifts and the policy above continues to govern every outbound link we control.
